LA Costita Mexican Restaurant in Clackamas

I used to eat at the Gresham location and I liked that location better. This is okay but the location isn't up to the same level of service. I'm hoping to find something closer that I like better. The salsa is pretty good.

The food was dope. The service even better. The staff were really nice and attentive. I had a wonderful experience. I would for sure go back. I should of taken picture. Ill do that next time.

My favorite Mexican restaurant in the Clackamas/Happy Valley area.

Our usual "family night out" spot. Good variety on kid's menu, for the little ones and, they accommodate the older kids with the menu. Always friendly staff and, great food to price value. Usually have plenty to bring home.

Excellent dinner! We called-in and 15 or 20 minutes later it was ready. The gentleman on the phone was polite, knew the menu, and he was BUSY! The price is very reasonable and the portion sizes are good.

Food and drinks are always great but service is getting worse. People who came in after us got served 1st, had to ask multiple times for our drinks and waited to order our dinner. Then our food took forever. Love this place but slowly getting tired of this kind of service ...people who came after us were cashing out before our food even. came !

A very pleasant atmosphere and excellent staff. The food was incredible and highly recommended. We will be back soon for birthday celebration.

I love pork tamales here. They also have Large drinks. Authentic Mexican food.Love it

My cousin's daughter and I ordered taco salads. She had chicken. I had ground beef. They didn't bother to drain the chicken. Her Taco bowl shell was swimming in liquid. Mine was tasteless and dry. Very little chopped tomato, mostly just lettuce and a tiny bit of cheese. No guacamole or sour cream with it. That was extra. They were the saddest excuse for a Taco salad I've ever seen.☹

Delicious drinks and food. We had so much fun. Thank you for a great 24th birthday. They do free fried ice cream on your birthday!

Solid Mexican food. Always fresh and there chips and salsa are amazing.

Consistantly great cuisine. Get there for early dinner if you dont like it crowded.

Loved everything I've ever eaten there. Deep flavors and great service. Great margaritas. I always get the blackberry with a couple spalshes of pineapple juice. Blended.

SUCH yummy food. I'm vegan and I ordered the vegetable fajitas (without all the dairy stuff, obviously), they were a BLESSING. I took away a star because there was an ant in my drink :(( they were nice about it though.

Great staff! The food is really high quality and some great ingredients. It all tastes very fresh. Overall a great place to sit down and have a meal. The service is fast, and the food comes pretty fast as well. Not a dine and dash restaurant, definitely a sit down meal type of place.

Food was fresh, cooked perfectly and tasted authentic. My friend had a combo plate including a chili relleno which was one of the best she's had. I had a steak fajita salad that had perfectly cooked and seasoner steak over a large bed of fresh greens that were not dressed. That was ok because the seasoning on the steak strips was a perfect compliment. I also had a house made sangria that was refreshing for a hot day. Chips and salsa fairly typical, not very spicy. and nothing to talk about but good. Service was good. Prices average. Would make an effort to go back if in the area!

Quick kitchen, courteous service, large portions, clean dining halls, semi-private dining available. Pleased much and will definitely come again.

Some of the waitresses and servers here are great. Some of them just really make you feel like they're happy to serve you and that is really cool, there's always free chips and salsa, the food I'd say is hit and miss. I've found a couple items that are always good so now I just stick to those, like tacos Tijuana. They can get really busy on weekend nights. My wife loves there margaritas

The four stars apply only to the food, which is always exceptional. Everything else about La Costita is a crapshoot. The service is always slow, and occasionally delightful. You never know what kind of experience you'll get, so o suggest calling in an order.

Very impressed with this Mexican Restaurant. The staff was friendly and the facilities were attractive and clean. The Chile Relleno was the tastiest I’ve ever eaten. We will soon return to this excellent restaurant. Earl Wiest

Very disrespectful, wouldn’t even seat us

$12.50 combination plate, including a drink, was just slightly more than what I'd like to have spent. However, the service was super friendly and very fast. Thus deserving an average of 3-stars.

Waiter was downright rude. He even took the remaining salsa away as we were packing up and said we weren't allowed to take it. The only reason I gave it a 2 star is because their chips and salsa are really good. Tacos were soggy, and the carnitas was dry. Disappointed, because we used to enjoy this restaurant and there aren't many Mexican food options in Happy Valley. Hoping someone opens up a new Mexican spot with actual good food and friendly service.

Pretty good considering the other choices. Have an oversized I shouldn't drive after cocktail and beans that are really, really good or totally burnt. If it's busy, skip it and go back tomorrow when everything is fresh again!

Excellent food and service!

I’ve come here multiple times with my friends and I have to say I always love it and always want to come back! I’ve been here with small and larger groups and the service is phenomenal, the food is always quick but super high quality and the prices are right at where they should be. I never feel like I’m being robbed. They are always so friendly and I’m so incredibly glad I live so close! I would recommend the enchiladas or the taquitos yo anyone! I will be back, and I hope it’s soon!

Above average Mexican food. I've been eating here over a decade and it has stayed pretty consistently good. The salsa is great. I love the Chile relleno. Beans and rice are tasty. The carne asada is very good, but it sure has changed in price over the years; It was around $12, now over $20. However, it is enough for two light eaters, especially with endless chips and salsa.Staff has been pretty consistently friendly over 10 years, they remember us even if we haven't come in for months. They can be busy, especially the weekend, but service still stays good.The restaurant has always been kept quite clean.Overall it's my favorite Mexican restaurant in this entire area.

Excellent food and drinks very polite and clean

Service was excellent. Chips and salsa were very good, and they offered to refill. "Small" margaritas were huge. Everything we ordered was really tasty. I especially liked the addition of cilantro to the salad garnish. Spinach burrito was delicious (but pricey at $13.50!) Brother liked the surf & turf. Will be returning.

Good food for a decent price. Just had a simple chicken burrito and it was nice and juicy the way it should be.

I have lived in happy valley for the past seven years, and I discovered La Costita several years ago. I did not enjoy there food, the service was bad and it was overly priced. Today I thought I would give it another try and again the food was bad, it was overly priced and the service was bad. But what really made me mad was when a waiter was serving a family he spilt ice cold water all over a child no older than three then LAUGHS while the family is trying to calm the screaming child and doesn’t even apologize. The family left of frustration (I don’t blame them) and I heard the waiter tell the manager that it was the child’s fault, when all he was doing was coloring with crayons. As being a parent and seeing this, it makes me never want to come back again.

This place never ceases to amaze me! The food is always hot and fresh and so tasty!!! Love the service and so attentive to you!!!

Great customer service, good food and FABULOUS Margaritas!! A favorite of my family that live in the area. I live south a couple of hours, but eat @ La Costita's when I get the opportunity.

Food was beyond excellent. My family was very happy. Next time we are up this way we will stop again. The service was awesome!!!

Love the staff here... Alex the bartender is awesome! The tortilla soup is definitely the best in the greater Portland area!

This place is better than any we have tried in the area. They are consistantly the best by far. Try the Mole and the Chili Rellenos for sure. We also adopted Gladys, but she just doesn't know it yet....she is so sweet and takes amazing care.
